NBCUniversal is hosting the LSAC Personal Statement Program, designed to support aspiring law school applicants. Through this program, practicing attorneys at NBCUniversal will review your personal statement and provide personalized feedback — giving you direct insight from legal professionals who know what admissions committees are looking for.
To get started, fill out the interest form below. Your submission will be shared with the program director, who will follow up with you through BU Black Pre-Law Society. Admissions to the program are on a rolling basis, so apply as soon as you're ready.

Eligibility Requirements
You must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher and a written personal statement. Please note that the reviewing attorneys will not accept unfinished drafts.
The Alumni Engagement Committee is charged with designing the first official alumni program for the Boston University Black Pre-Law Society. Members of this committee will build the foundation for how BPLS alumni stay connected, give back, and remain involved long after graduation.
This committee is focused on long-term impact rather than immediate alumni participation. Members will collaboratively design engagement structures, incentives, and programs that future BPLS leadership can sustain year after year. The committee operates without internal leadership roles — all members have equal voice and responsibility. One member will serve as a communication liaison to the Director of Membership, without additional decision-making authority.
This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on leadership experience within BPLS.

Legal Writing & Impact Committee
The Legal Writing & Impact Committee is responsible for producing clear, thoughtful legal writing that reflects the mission and values of the Boston University Black Pre-Law Society. This committee gives members the opportunity to practice legal analysis, research, and writing outside of general meetings — creating work that serves a purpose beyond publication.
The committee focuses on developing strong writing skills, building confidence in legal communication, and ensuring that each piece has a defined audience and impact. Members will collaboratively draft articles, conduct research, edit written work, and help determine how each piece is shared or used within the organization.
The committee operates with designated officer roles — Chair, Writing Lead, Editing & Research Lead, and Impact & Distribution Lead. All members contribute meaningfully, and officers simply help keep the committee organized and on track.
This is an excellent way to gain experience in legal writing, editing, and research.
Eligiblity Requirements
You must be an active member of BPLS. This committee is open to all members regardless of year.
